Our 2009 Meritage is blended with 35% Cabernet Franc, 35% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. Marco harvested the best grapes from Heron Pond and Delaine vineyards, aged the wine for 16 months in select barrels to craft a full-bodied wine with dark red fruit, mocha and vanilla expression on the nose and palate.

Production Notes
This vintage is a traditional assemblage of Merlot (25%) Cabernet Sauvignon (30%) and Cabernet Franc (45%), three of the classic Bordeaux varietals. The wine was fermented with selected yeasts followed by an extended maceration of 15 days. The Gold Series Meritage underwent 100% malolactic fermentation in oak, and was barrel aged for 16 months.
