Meritage is a blend of the traditional grapes from Bordeaux. In most cases, the blend consists of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is often rich and full bodied, with smoky, berry, plum and spicy coffee flavours.
Our Meritage is full-bodied with complex red fruit, pepper and leather notes on the nose, with hints of plum, cherry, dark chocolate and spice on the palate. The wine displays a smooth, lingering finish.
Our 2009 Meritage is blended with 35% Cabernet Franc, 35% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. Marco harvested the best grapes from Heron Pond and Delaine vineyards, aged the wine for 16 months in select barrels to craft a full-bodied wine with dark red fruit, mocha and vanilla expression on the nose and palate.
